Taraji P. Henson received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Brad Pitt. A native of Washington D.C., Taraji earned a degree in Theatre Arts from Howard University while working two jobs -- in the morning as a secretary at the Pentagon and in the evening as a singing and dancing waitress on a local dinner cruise ship -- to pay her tuition. Taraji has appeared in numerous film and television projects and performed the Oscar-winning Best Song from Hustle & Flow at the Academy Awards. Her starring roles include Baby Boy, Talk to Me, Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys and I Can Do Bad All by Myself, and Smokin' Aces. She co-stars in Date Night with Tina Fey and The Karate Kid with Jaden Smith. She appears opposite Orlando Bloom in The Good Doctor.
